Lightweight internal doors can be constructed from a honicel type card interior and softwood frame, sandwiched between glued MDF embossed skins. These MDF skins can easily slip during assembly and in the main pressing process causing the finished door to be rejected.
RF Tacking presses are used to square the softwood frame and honicel core to the MDF skin and then “spot weld” them in four positions prior to pressing. This allows the assembly to be moved and positioned within the main heated press without the risk of any slippage.
